How does microneedling work?
We use the CosmoPen, a pen-shaped device with a disposable 12-pin needle head that controls the depth and speed of the needles. The tiny channels it makes in the upper layers of the skin encourage new collagen and elastin through the body's own natural healing.

Your skin may look pink for 24-48 hours, a bit like a mild sunburn, so many clients book on a day without events. Most people book a series of treatments, and we'll suggest a schedule that suits your skin and goals.

How much is microneedling in Vancouver?
At Vancouver Green Spa, the Microneedling (mesotherapy) Treatment is $189 for 90 minutes.
How many microneedling treatments will I need?
It depends on how your skin responds. On average, 6 treatments are done, usually once every 4-6 weeks, with maintenance treatments every 3-12 months.
Is microneedling painful?
Numbing cream can be applied before the treatment to make it more comfortable.
What are the side effects of microneedling?
Usually a little redness and mild swelling, similar to a mild sunburn, for 24-48 hours. There may be minimal pin-point bleeding or bruising, which can be treated with ice. A gentle concealer or mineral makeup can be used soon after to hide any redness.
What should I do after microneedling?
Avoid excessive heat (saunas, hot showers) for 12 hours and the sun for 48 hours, keep the area moist and wear SPF 30 full spectrum. Avoid scrubs, exfoliants and alpha or beta hydroxy acid products.
How do I prepare for microneedling?
Do not sunbathe for 4-5 days before, and do not use skin resurfacing products (Retin A, glycolic peels) for 14 days before. Remove perfume and makeup before the treatment, and try not to plan major events for 2-3 days after your first treatment.
Who should not have microneedling?
People who take contraindicated medications (steroids, hormone replacement therapy) or have contraindicated diseases (lupus, cancer, diabetes), anyone with a current skin infection, open wounds, cuts or abrasions, people who tend to form keloid scars, and anyone who has taken Accutane in the last six months. It is not done during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
