New Year is practically here. It is this time of the year to get your secret note pad and record every one of your desires, dreams, and resolutions for new year. Of course, people set different goals: from getting rid of debts, learning new languages to traveling, but statistics show that health goals, such as weight loss-making and quitting smoking are the most common at the beginning of the new year.  What are your New Year resolutions?

The following are a few suggestions for New Year’s resolutions that will keep you healthy and beautiful:

 

CONTROL YOUR MEAL PORTIONS

 

Need to scale back your figure? Begin scaling back your dishes. Studies show consumption more modest plates and bowls advance weight reduction since they help to control overeating.

 

BE ACTIVE EVERY DAY

 

Attempt to infuse every day with greater movement (grown-ups should focus on 30 minutes day by day). The opportunities are endless once you’ve developed the right mindset.

 

STOP SMOKING

 

For smokers, quitting may be the hardest resolution to stick with because it is so challenging. If you consider the benefits, and take advantage of today’s resources, this could be the year you successfully become a non-smoker. The National Cancer Institute’s smoke free website is a good resource to save for future refinances.

 

WEAR SUNSCREEN… ALL YEAR AROUND

Sun exposure affects everyone. According to the National Cancer Institute most skin cancer develops after age 50, though sun damage may start at much early age. The sun’s rays are also behind brown spots and can make wrinkles appear before their time. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen year around.

 

 

FIND A TIME FOR YOURSELF

Schedule a treat for yourself once a month. It could be on your lunch break, a weekend, or it could be leaving work early. Maybe you get a spa treatment, go see a movie, a haircut, play golf, or whatever treat you are always thinking about but rarely get to do. Schedule it in at least a month before to ensure that nothing gets in the way of that time.
